Private Golf Course in Ayutthaya

Although his golf course is already among the most prestigious and exclusive clubs in Asia, our client envisioned taking it to an even higher echelon by introducing additional programs and enhancing its amenities.

JAAX has been tasked with scrutinizing the site and conceptualizing the programming and design for this expansion. While the client has outlined specific requests for 30 new standalone villas and a second clubhouse, we proposed programs encompassing an art walk, a gallery for his art collection and a bird sanctuary on the bird island, as well as a 120-key boutique hotel.

Reimagination of a Flagship for a Global Fashion Brand

For the first ground-up U.S. flagship for a fashion brand known for its bold statement and unconventionality, JAAX was engaged from the conceptualization stage of the project. After studying several candidate locations around the country, we selected Joshua Tree, California as the stage for what the client envisions to be the space of unprecedented provocation of all senses.

For Chef Niki Nakayama’s new restaurant for a more casual dining experience in an izakaya setting, JAAX collaborated with DOMM to design its new extended dining area.

Phuket Wellness Village

2023-

JAAX was tasked with creating the masterplan and pre-design for a resort community in Ao Kung, Phuket. The client envisions a 22-acre community designed for all generations, offering a comprehensive health and wellness program for both residents and visitors.

Beyond leisure and recreational activities, the community will feature an on-site hospital, multiple clinics, and educational facilities. It will include 45 rentable villas, approximately 180 active living condominium units, and a Health & Brain Center dedicated to providing 24/7 care for its senior residents.

Apollo

There is a physical aquarium on one side while the opposite wall showcases a digital counterpart in this 7,400-sf basement bar & lounge in Lima, Peru. This concept of duality extends to the floor and ceiling design, where the raised patterns on the ceiling transform into luminous fixtures, while the corresponding patterns on the floor evolve into illuminated seating, creating a mirroring effect between the two surfaces.

The juxtaposition of the physical and digital aquariums, along with the seamless connection between the ceiling lights and floor seats, creates an intriguing blend of the natural and the artificial, providing an interesting sensory experience for the users.
